YOGA IS A GIFT FOR HUMAN BEINGS - PART 1

Yoga is a gift for human beings as it solves most of the Circulatory problems. It works by keeping the two gates of the body, the Circulatory System and the Respiratory System clean.

The Regional Circulation (blood flow to each organ) falls down as one grows older. The blood flow to the brain at the age of 65 is maybe a third of what it was at 25 years of age.

Asanas are designed to rinse and dry every organ.

In daily life where we sit, flex our legs or neck or any part of the body, in some movements occlusion of the circulation occurs whereas others circulation is stimulated.

Yogic asanas are an extension of the same principle.

When one gets up from bed and feels like stretching in all directions, blood flow is simulated. This gives the healthy feeling.

Asanas do the same thing.

They stretch every nerve, blood vessel, muscle, organ, etc, so that the blood supply increases. So the regional circulation does not decrease.

As long as the blood supply to the organ concerned flows with a certain vitality, that organ will not degenerate

When inflammation occurs blood flow alters

Leading to congestion in that area due to injury to the blood vessels.
Practice of yoga regularizes the blood flow to allow more fresh blood to come to the area resulting in quicker healing.
Coming to individual organs

The blood flow to the brain gradually reduces as one grows older. Changes like loss of memory, intellectual dullness, loss of power of speech eta, can occur. If critical narrowing occurs, a stroke occurs.

Practice of inverted postures

Help to re-establish the blood flow to the brain and penetrate to the level of microcirculation. The brain cells cannot die prematurely.
No stroke can occur if Sirsasana and Sarvangasana are done daily.
